1. Amaechi Muonagor (1962–2024)

Amaechi Muonagor, a veteran actor renowned for his commanding presence and versatility, passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 61. Born in Obosi, Anambra State, Muonagor’s journey into acting began after studying economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He became a household name in the late 1990s and early 2000s, starring in films such as Igodo, Aki na Ukwa, and Karishika. His performances often portrayed authoritative figures, earning him acclaim for his ability to embody complex characters. In his later years, Muonagor battled health challenges, including diabetes and kidney disease, which led to his untimely demise. His death came shortly after he appealed to the public for assistance to seek medical treatment abroad, highlighting the need for better healthcare support for artists. 2. John Okafor (Mr. Ibu) (1961–2024)

John Ikechukwu Okafor, affectionately known as Mr. Ibu, was a comedic genius whose unique style brought joy to countless fans. Born on October 17, 1961, in Enugu State, Okafor’s path to stardom was marked by perseverance, as he took on various jobs to fund his education before studying at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He began acting at the age of seven and officially started his professional journey in 1953 with stage performances in Lagos. Olumo gained prominence for his roles as formidable antagonists, earning him the nickname “Agbako,” which he adopted during the filming of Anikura to enhance his on-screen persona. His performances in films like Efunsetan Aniwura, Iya Ni Wura, and Ogbori Elemosho left an indelible mark on Nollywood. Despite his age, Olumo remained active in the industry, participating in film productions as recently as April 2024. 7. Quadri Oyebamiji (Sisi Quadri) (1979–2024)
